WELL WHAT CAN I SAY ABOUT OUR DAD WELL EVERYBODY ALWAYS SAYS THEIR DAD WAS THE BEST BUT HE WAS
SIMPLY THE BEST HE WAS DAD TO SEVEN 4 GIRLS 3 BOYS AND GRANDAD TO 14 GREAT GRANDAD TO 5 AND
EVERYBODY LOVED THEIR GRANDA AND HE LOVED THEM ALL HE WAS NEVER HAPPIER WHEN ALL HIS FAMILY WHERE
AROUND HIM HE LOVED A PARTY AND WOULD LIKE A SING SONG XMAS TIME WAS SPECIAL FOR HIM HE LOVED HIS
DECORATIONS UP AND XMAS TREE HE LOVED HIS FOOTBALL AND EVEN PLAYED PROFESIONAL WHEN HE WAS A
YOUNG MAN HE FOLLOWED GLASGOW RANGERS AND WAS ALWAYS INTERESTED IN ALL FOOTBALL ON TV HE LOST
HIS SIGHT ABOUT 4YEARS AGO HE HAD CATARACTS AND WOULD NOT GO AND GET THEM SORTED AS HE WOULD JUST
SAY AGH ITS JUST OLD AGE HE WAS IN GOOD HEALTH APPART FROM AFEW THINGS WRONG WITH HIM HE WOULD
NEVER COMPLAIN EVER MY SISTER TOOK HIM TO STAY WITH HIM AND HE LOVED IT SHE HAD TWO YOUNG CHILDREN
AND TWO WEE DOGS THE HOUSE WAS ALWAYS FULL WITH CHILDREN AND NOISE JUST THE WAY HE LIKED IT I WENT
TO STAY WITH MY SISTER TO GET HIM SETTLED IN BUT I WAS THERE TILL HE DIED HE BECAME UNWELL AGAIN
NEVER COMPLAINED JUST KEPT SAYING HE WAS OK AT ONE POINT THE DOCTOR WANTED HIM TO GO INTO HOSPITAL
BUT HE WOULD NOT GO AND SAID HE WANTED TO STAY AT HOME SO WE LOOKED AFTER HIM NOT THAT THERE WAS
MUCH TO LOOK AFTER AT THE BEGINNING MY SISTER HELEN CAME UP FROM ENGLAND TO HELP WITH THE CARE OF
OUR DAD AND MY SISTER ROSEANN TRAVELED FROM GLASGOW AFTER WORK EVERYNIGHT AND LEFT EARLY DOORS IN
THE MORNING WELL AS I SAID HE NEVER ONCE COMPLAINED EVEN WHEN THE NURSES CAME OUT THEY SAID HE WAS
A PLEASURE TO SEE AS HE ALWAYS ASKED THEM HOW THEY WERE DOING HE WAS A REMARKABLE MAN AND ALL HIS
FAMILY MISSES HIM WELL THATS A WEE BIT ABOUT OUR DAD XX

NO TEARS PAST THE GATE
Someone new has entered
our eternal home above.
The heavenly gate has opened wide
to welcome the one you love.
We cannot help the tears that fall-
our hearts need time to grieve
when earthly life has ended
and a loved one has to leave.
Yet even in the saddest time,
we know our Saviour lives,
and we can trust completely

God's Heavenly Garden
Sometimes God picks the flower that is in full bloom:
sometimes the rosebud's chosen that we
feel He's picked too soon.
Sometimes the flower is fading with petals
floating down, but God knows the perfect time
to gather flowers from the ground.
There is a heavenly garden in which God takes
great pleasure because He's placed within it the
loved ones that we treasure.
He walks among the blossoms giving them eternal
rest, and I know that it must please Him because
He chose the very best.
